Data controller
The data controller is LivedIn (SAS), registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 106 731 938. For any questions about your personal data, contact us at: contact@livedin.fr.
Data collected
When you create an account: first name, last name, email address, phone number.
Your profile, if you fill it in: employment situation, net income, guarantor type, number of occupants.
Your applications: the address of each listing you give us, the home's details (rent, size, location), the legality estimate and the application message.
Tracking of your application links: the date and time of each open, repeat visits and clicks through to the documents and the listing (details in section 8), as well as the landlord's answer if they give one (interested, already rented, not selected). We record neither the IP address nor the identity of whoever opens the link.
The link to your documents on DossierFacile, if you provide it; we never store the supporting documents themselves.
Your viewings, if you note them: the date, the points checked, your impression, your notes and your photos. Only you can see them, never the landlord, and they are deleted with the application or the account.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, session data.
Purposes of processing
Creating and managing your user account.
Showing your application page to the people you send the link to, and tracking when it is opened.
Reading the listing you point to once, checking the rent against Paris rent control, and writing an application message.
If you buy Plus: the LivedIn team selecting listings that match your search, sending applications in your name with your profile, a daily email report, and reviewing the lease you send us.
Processing payment for Plus or the Pro plan, if you take them, via Stripe.
Sending account-related communications (the first open of one of your links, confirmations, support).
Improving the service through usage analysis (aggregated and anonymised data).
Complying with our legal and regulatory obligations.
Legal basis
Performance of contract: processing necessary to provide the service (application as a link, open tracking, rent check).
Legitimate interest: service security, fraud prevention, service improvement.
Legal obligation: retention of certain accounting and tax data.
Consent: optional marketing communications.
Data sharing
The people you send an application link to: they see your first name and the information you chose to fill in (situation, income, guarantor, occupants, move-in date), and the link to your documents only if you share them. Never the rent legality estimate. You can disable a link at any time.
Stripe: processes payments (Plus, the Pro plan). PCI-DSS certified; banking data stored with Stripe only.
Cloud infrastructure provider: personal data is hosted on servers located in Europe; any transfer outside the European Union is governed by Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your data is never shared with a landlord or agency other than through a link you send yourself, or that the LivedIn team sends in your name if you have bought Plus. On that link, your phone and email only appear once the landlord says your application interests them.
If you are a landlord and leave your email at the bottom of an application page, we use it to send you the link to your landlord space, which gathers the LivedIn applications you have opened. A cookie remembers that space in your browser. Write to us to have your email and your space deleted.
We never sell your personal data to third parties.
Retention periods
Account data: retained for the duration of your relationship with LivedIn, then 3 years after account closure.
Transaction data: 10 years in accordance with legal accounting obligations.
Application links: active for 60 days at most, deleted with the application or with your account.
Technical logs: 12 months.

Application pages opened by a landlord
When a landlord or an agency opens the application page an applicant sent them, LivedIn records, for each open: the date and time, whether the same browser had opened this link before, and clicks through to the documents on DossierFacile and to the listing.
To recognise a repeat visit, the page keeps a random identifier in the browser (local storage) that belongs to this one link only. It serves no other purpose and is tied to no other link and no other site. No device fingerprint is computed, and no advertising cookie or cross-site identifier is used. If local storage is blocked, the open is counted without being linked to earlier ones.
Purpose: letting the applicant who sent the link know how much attention their application received. This information includes neither the IP address nor the identity of whoever opens the page, and are never sold or used for advertising.
Legal basis: the applicant's legitimate interest in knowing whether their application was looked at. It is limited to the above and are announced at the bottom of the application page.
Retention: the same as the application. This information is deleted with it, or with the applicant's account.
A landlord can exercise the rights described in section 7 by writing to us at contact@livedin.fr.
Cookies
We use technical cookies that are essential to the operation of the platform (session, authentication). No advertising cookies are placed without your explicit consent.
We also use a privacy-friendly audience-measurement tool that sets no cookies and collects no personally identifiable data, to understand overall site usage (number of visits, pages viewed, traffic sources).
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: HTTPS encryption, restricted data access, regular security audits.
Amendments
We may update this policy at any time. In the event of a material change, you will be informed by email or by a notification on the platform.
